While there are thought to be more red grape varieties than white, trying to find detailed information on the lesser known grapes within Portugal is not an easy task . . . but a task we were prepared to take on. We have in our portfolio 15 different red grape varieties in various blends but there is an 100% Castelao from the Setúbal Peninsula for those who enjoy a varietal. At the opposite end, we have the Different Red made from some of the oldest vines in Portugal. Each year is a lottery as Marco, the winemaker, is never sure which vines are going to give him the best grapes so the blend is always 'different'.
